Padmashree Kakasaheb Wagh

Devram Sayaji alias Kakasaheb Wagh was a visionary with social awareness who knew importance of education and cooperation. He was also instrumental in sowing the seeds of Nasik Dist. Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj. The people of the area aptly gave him the title 'Karmaveer'.The Government of India acknowledged his contribution for social upliftment by awarding him the title 'Padmashree'.His birth centenary is being celebrated in the year 1998-99.
